If your forge acts like it works, goes thru the motions, but never cuts anything. This is the final part you need if the red wire and power supply were not the cause.
these do not usually just up and die. they are more like a florescent lightbulb tube. they just get weaker and dimmer over time. but I have seen cases where physical damage, or trauma, or environmental extremes can cause one to stop working. and yes sometimes just manufacturing defects or poor workmanship.
